Learning the Home Life!

Pecos still hasn't figured who that "big black dog staring back at him in the window" is yet nor has he figured out how to use the dog bed to its greatest potential :-)

He has learned that at 7 AM/PM he gets fed, and reminds me if I happen to forget! He has even learned to let me know that if I quit petting him and he's not yet done that a soft nudge with his paw will continue the pettings! Pecos is such a big love boy who would love to be in a home with much unconditional love! He will definitely put a smile on your face!

A New Foster Family

Pecos wanted me to write a message since his paws are a little too big for the keyboard... So I will try to interpret his barks and roos as best as possible! ;-)

Since I had a little run in with Mr. Martin's and Mrs. Hillary's kitty cat I had to go to a new foster home on Friday. We met Ms. Laura and Jenny(my is she purdy! I'm a handsome fellow myself!) at the kennels and they told her everything about me! They even said I didn't know how to jump in the back of an SUV, but I watched Jenny do it and just followed her lead! I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. ;-) I'm learning everyday what it's like being in a home! But boy those ceiling fans are mesmerizing! I just can't stop looking at them! I follow Jenny around almost every where, and try to do the same things she does, but I'm starting to be more independent and doing my own things. I love running laps in the back yard! Besides stuffie toys and sleeping that's my favorite thing to do! I cant wait to find my forever home and show a family how much I can love them! Until next time, woof! woof!

Playing in his foster home...

Pecos is settling into home life just fine...

Pecos is enjoying home life at his foster home. The 4th of July holiday was this week and he got used to the firecracker sounds quickly. He didn't want to go outside with them going off, but was just as happy laying on his bed in the living room. Also, had a lot of storms this week and he learned to become comfortable with the thunder too. Pecos is a GREYT dog! He just needs exposure to things. He has never seen a ceiling fan, until now; He has never seen his reflection, until now; He has never heard a child's voice or the tv, until now; He has never slept on a comfortable cushioned pad, until now; He has never heard a mower or vacuum cleaner, until now. At first he is hesitant, but then goes on his merry way. Pecos LOVES toys that squeak! Also, he is trying to get our older GH to play with him, but unfortunately for him she wont give into his playful ways, so he just plays by himself. All Pecos needs is to find his forever (quiet) home, so he can settle into a routine, have a nice fenced in yard to explore, some toys, and a soft bed to sleep in every night. That would be his ultimate dream home.
